Giorno 1

Oristano

Welcome to Oristano! Spend two days immersed in the artisanal and rural traditions of the area. Start your journey by visiting the I.S.O.L.A (Istituto Sardo Organizzazione Lavoro Artigiano), where you can admire creations by Sardinian master artisans, including ceramics, woodwork, leatherwork, glass, and textiles. Attached to the shop, you will visit the ceramics workshop, where you can witness various stages of production: wheel throwing, molding, finishing, sgraffito decoration, and more, all managed by the C.M.A. Cooperative. Then, take part in a fantastic workshop on Neolithic and Nuragic forms and symbols, including hand stamping, engraving, and smoothing on raw objects.

Giorno 2

Abbasanta – Ghilarza

On the second day, head to Abbasanta, where you can participate in a guided tour of the Nuraghe Losa Archaeological Park, one of the most significant archaeological sites on the entire island. In the afternoon, visit the META_Museo ETnografico in Abbasanta, which provides a representation of peasant and agro-pastoral life between 1500 and 1950. Then, explore the Casa Museo of Antonio Gramsci in Ghilarza, where you can learn all about this pivotal figure in Italian history. The house-museum features a detailed exhibition about Antonio Gramsci’s life and political commitment in an environment that preserves the intimacy and atmosphere of the place.
