You will visit the historic center of Oristano and get to know the master craftsmen of the C.M.A. cooperative. The next day in Burgos you will visit the medieval village with its centuries-old castle.

Itinerario dettagliato

Giorno 1

Oristano

On the first day, you will participate to a guided tour to discover the historic center of Oristano, visiting the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the Palazzo dei Giudici. In the afternoon, you can go and visit the I.S.O.L.A (Sardinian Institute for Artisan Work Organisation) where it is possible to admire some creations of Sardinian master craftsmen, such as ceramic, wood, leather, glass and fabric artefacts. Attached to the shop, you will visit the ceramics workshop, where you will see live some stages of processing: shaping on the lathe, shaping with a mould, finishing, graffiti decoration, etc. by the C.M.A. Cooperative. Afterwards, you will participate in first person in a fantastic workshop on the shapes and symbols of the Neolithic and Nuragic periods, hand printing, engraving and smoothing of raw objects.

Giorno 2

Burgos

On the second day, you will visit the small medieval village of Burgos, about an hour from Oristano. Here you will visit together with a local guide the fantastic medieval castle of the town dating back to 1134 and background of many stories and legends.
