Sardegna off the beaten path

The first day begins with a visit to the city of Nuoro, the cultural capital of Sardinia. You will visit the ISRE – the museum of Sardinian popular life and traditions which houses the most complete ethnographic exhibition in Sardinia. You will discover all about the traditions, customs and traditions of the island. In the afternoon you will participate in a unique experience on the world of beekeeping in the countryside around Nuoro. On the second day, explore another one of Nuoro’s fantastic museums. The adventure continues in the heart of Sardinia with an excursion to Orotelli to discover the local nature and architecture. The excursion begins by visiting the historic center and the Church of San Giovanni Battista, learning more about the culture of the country. Moving from the center you will have the opportunity to visit the famous rock formations of the town such as Sa Covecada (the Mushroom), the Dolmen, Su Thurpu, sa Ruche Crastidorzi. You will also visit the country church dedicated to Nostra Sennora di Sinne and the Nuraghe Aeddos in the Sa Serra park. For lovers of Romanesque architecture there will be the opportunity to visit the Church of San Nicola in Ottana.

The fourth day starts with an adrenaline rush as you will have the opportunity to paraglide in Bortigali. Once you get off, you will visit the Orolo nuraghe which is located near the town. Not far away is Burgos where you will stop to visit its castle, a real gem from the Middle Ages.

On the last day, move to Sorradile, on the shores of Lake Omodeo where you will have the opportunity to take a tour of the lake by boat. Moving then to the hilly part, you will visit the complex of about twenty domus janas in Prunittu. The village of Sorradile has been restructured to such an extent that it has become an authentic hospitable village and inside it is possible to visit the Su Monte museum. Before leaving again you will stop at the Santa Chiara dam where you will admire the submerged house of the power plant that appears from the waters.
