Discover the mining and archaeological treasures of Sardinia in this 3-day tour! From the Coal museum in Carbonia to the caves of Masua, from the Archaeological Park of Monte Sirai to the cave of Santa Barbara in Iglesias.
For this tour, you will need some essential equipment and materials. It may help to wear comfortable, sturdy shoes, such as hiking boots, and bring a light jacket or sweater as temperatures underground can be cooler.

Dedicate the first day to visiting the center of Carbonia and its important coal museum to discover the important mining heritage of this area. In the afternoon, move to the Monte Sirai Archaeological Park from which you will enjoy an extraordinary view over the entire Sulcis-Iglesiente area. The park includes at least 40 sites, which arose from the Neolithic to the end of the Punic age.
On the second day, move north of Carbonia for a beautiful boat excursion to discover the caves of Masua and Pan di Zucchero. In the afternoon, visit the beach of Porto Flavia and its historic mine.
The third day is dedicated to a guided tour of the city of Iglesias, with its cathedral and medieval castle and the Grotta di Santa Barbara, a true jewel of this area.
